Claire Kroening is an award-winning writer and freelance editor/proofreader of various mediums from the upper midwest. A 2026 Best of the Net and 2026 Monarch Queer Literary Awards nominee, their work has appeared in a multitude of online and print publications in 23 countries worldwide, including Sunday Mornings at the River, The University of Baltimore's Plork Press, Young Writers Journal, and Yīn Literary, among others. Presently, they are an Executive Head of Editorial and Writing at Writer Girlies Magazine, Executive Editor at The Serendipity Archives, and a writer at over ten literary publications. The Midnight Photographer
