As I sit in my last ever Law Class (secured transactions, don’t ask me any questions – I was confused all semester)… It is a bittersweet moment.
Starting law school on zoom during the pandemic made the experience a bit isolated, but I am thankful for my zoom study group and now friends. Navigating law school can be difficult, finding a good group of friends makes the experience so much better.
Moving across the country was the next challenging experience, but there was comfort in knowing my friends would be there when I arrived. First time on campus as a 2L was exciting, scary, and every emotion in between. I grew my network, found my way, and really honed in on what I wanted from the law school.
Then there’s now… 3L and the final year. It was the most stressful and work-filled year. But it was also the year where I really came into who I think I will be as a lawyer. And let me say, there is no one way to be a lawyer, it looks so different for so many of us. What matters most, is that you hold on to your values and remember your support system.
And while it was a long journey, it felt short. It was filled with stress, lots of writing, and so many laughs. Being in my last law school class is interesting. I am definitely not focused on the review, but that’s okay because the barbri videos await for my review before the final.
