Exhausted, collapsing, each night breathless,
Within our pockets, worlds of distraction,
Blue light’s magic spell, glowing and reckless,
Heads buried in this noxious contraption.
World-weary brains bathe in sweet dopamine,
Eager eyes delight in toxic trolling,
Hours bleed in a sad, bleak routine,
Addicted thumbs refuse to stop scrolling.
Minds hallowed until the need is yawning,
Tired bodies expand and souls shatter,
Sunshine and grass exist deep in longing,
Feeding muscle and growing gray matter,
Rebel! Cast aside the beguiling box,
Shake off the damned chains and throw down the locks.
